Anse de Sainte-Évette

Anse de Sainte-Évette is a sheltered bay near Audierne in Finistère, where you drop the hook on good holding sand in a setting that stays genuinely pretty even when it gets busy in August. The anchorage has been a local refuge since the late 1800s, when fishermen pushed to have it developed, giving it a lived-in, unhurried feel rather than a tourist-polished one. Getting ashore by dinghy takes a bit of care, but it's worth it to explore the coastal path that winds out to Pointe de Lervily.
