Badia de Palamós

Badia de Palamós is a wide, sheltered Mediterranean bay on the Costa Brava, where you drop anchor off the broad sandy arc of Playa Grande with the town of Palamós sitting right behind the beach. The water here is famously clear, and the bay's gentle curve gives reasonable protection in settled conditions. It's a popular anchorage with good holding, and the town is easily reached by dinghy if you want to explore its fish market or seafront restaurants.
