Colintraive

Colintraive sits on the eastern shore of the Kyles of Bute, one of the most scenic stretches of water in Argyll, where you can anchor off and take in the narrowing channel with Bute just a stone's throw across the water. The setting is quietly dramatic, with wooded hillsides tumbling down to the shoreline and the little car ferry to Rhubodach adding to the gentle bustle. The village itself is small but has a hotel, and it's a reasonable base for exploring the surrounding glens on foot.
