Fermain Bay
✨ Hidden gem
Fermain Bay is a genuinely lovely spot to drop the hook in settled weather, with good holding over sand close to the cliffs and no current to fight. It's only about a third of a mile from the main road, so you can easily dinghy ashore and explore on foot. Just keep an eye on the forecast — swells can roll in when the wind has any south or west in it, and the high ground to the west means you'll lose the sun earlier than you'd expect.
