Harty Ferry sits at the eastern end of The Swale, the tidal channel separating the Isle of Sheppey from the Kent mainland — you anchor off here in what feels like a remote, almost forgotten corner of England. The tiny hamlet of Harty nearby is barely a dot on the map, so expect wild marshland, big skies, and very little else, which is honestly the whole appeal.
