Kargılık Koyu is a quiet anchorage tucked along the northern reaches of Fethiye Gulf, about 18 km from town on the Muğla road coastline. What sets it apart is the dense fringe of sweetly scented storax trees (günlük) lining the shore — a rare and striking sight that gives the bay a wild, almost otherworldly atmosphere. You drop anchor off a double-forked inlet where the sea splits and pushes deep into the land, creating two sheltered pockets of calm water.
