Pirate's Cove

Pirate's Cove — officially known as McAllister Park — is a scenic anchorage tucked into the north shore of Long Island, sitting right on the edge of the small village of Belle Terre just outside Port Jefferson. The name traces back to folklore connecting the area to 17th-century pirate Captain Kidd, giving the spot a bit of character you won't find at your average anchorage. Drop the hook here and you're a short trip from the shops, restaurants, and ferry terminal of Port Jefferson village.
