Drop the hook in Prince Rupert Bay just off Portsmouth, one of Dominica's finest natural anchorages with plenty of depth and good holding. The setting is dramatic, with the lush green peaks of the island rising sharply behind the town. From here you're well placed to explore the Indian River by rowboat, pick up supplies in Portsmouth, or use it as a jumping-off point for the trails and rivers further into the interior.
