Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. You can lower the deposit by adding the operator’s damage waiver. Operator terms: Charterer responsible for damages not covered by insurance, must pay for repairs

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~60 HP engines burn roughly 4.8 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 101 L ≈ €152 at €1.50/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.

No licence is required by Turkish law, but charter companies require proof of competence such as an ICC or RYA Day Skipper certificate.

Sailing is limited to the Turkish coast. You may only venture beyond Turkish waters with our written agreement, and your itinerary should reach its farthest point within the first third of your charter and be within about 20 nautical miles of the return port in the final 24 hours.

Yes. The charter is based on your stated sailing competence, and we may ask you and your crew to demonstrate that you can handle and navigate the yacht safely before setting off. If you don't sail with the required experience, you'll need a skipper with the necessary experience on board.

Racing is only permitted with our agreement, and you may not use the boat for towing other craft except in an emergency. Note that damage during races and regattas is not covered, and boats joining a race carry an extra non-refundable fee plus a doubled security deposit.

You should not leave port or anchorage if the wind is, or is forecast to be, above Beaufort force 6, or if the harbour authorities have banned sailing. Always reduce sail promptly in strong conditions and avoid sailing at night without all navigation lights working and a proper watch on deck.
