Vlychada is one of Santorini's most striking beaches, sitting on the island's southern coast about 11 km from Fira — you anchor off and take in the surreal, lunar-white cliffs sculpted by volcanic pumice that frame the shoreline. The atmosphere is raw and otherworldly, quite different from the island's more crowded spots, and the nudist-friendly stretch draws a relaxed, independent crowd. It's a genuinely dramatic anchorage with the added bonus of a quieter, less touristy vibe.
