Ispuligidenie - Cala Mariolu

Cala Mariolu — also called Ispuligidenie, meaning "snow fleas" in Sardinian dialect — is a 300-metre beach split in two by a large rock that doubles as a landing point for boats. The water shifts through an almost unreal range of blues and greens, and the remote setting between the rugged coastal cliffs of Ogliastra keeps it from ever feeling overdeveloped. You can reach it by sea or tackle the demanding hike down through the wild Baunei coastline via Punta Ispuligi — either way, it earns its reputation as one of Sardinia's most spectacular bays.
