Patelia

Πατελιά is the largest beach on the island, stretching along the western edge of the settlement's bay, close to where ferries tie up. The name itself comes from the Dodecanese word for the clay-rich soil once used to weatherproof flat-roofed houses — a small but telling detail about the local building tradition.
