Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. You can lower the deposit by adding the operator’s damage waiver. Operator terms: Each yacht has kasko and mandatory insurance for all passengers. Damages up to deposit amount covered by customer; amounts exceeding deposit covered by insurance company.

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~40 HP engine burn roughly 3.2 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 67 L ≈ €125 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans.

At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.

If we conclude you don't have the necessary knowledge and skill, you can hire one of our skippers, or the base manager may assign a skipper for the whole charter at an extra charge. If you'd rather not skipper yourself, you can name a skipper before departure, who is then co-responsible to us.

You're asked to stay within Croatian territorial waters and to respect all customs and other local regulations.

Please don't sub-let the boat, lend it to others, or use it for commercial purposes or professional fishing. Night sailing is only permitted in safe weather conditions.

Yes, please check the engine oil and water levels every day. Damage caused by a lack of oil or water in the engine isn't insured and would be at your expense.

Please return the boat at the agreed place and time, clean and in proper condition, with full fuel and water tanks, just as you received it.

May–October, with the most reliable maestral winds and warm seas in June–September; July–August are the hottest and busiest.
