Yes — every boat on charter.boats is insured by its operator; we require it. The policy covers the vessel for fire, collision and third-party liability. You're only responsible for damage it doesn't cover, and that's capped at the security deposit. Operator terms: Insurance covers maritime risks, excludes damages from alcohol/intoxication

Fuel isn't included — you return the tank full. This boat's ~114 HP engines burn roughly 9.1 L/h while motoring, so a typical week (about 3 h a day, ~21 h) works out to roughly 191 L ≈ €357 at €1.87/L — scale it to your own plans. Many skippers run one engine on passage to roughly halve fuel use — ask your operator if that’s fine for your boat.

Not personally — a skipper comes with this boat and holds the licence. Generally, though: At least one crew member must hold a recognised sailing licence (ICC or national equivalent) plus a VHF/SRC radio operator certificate, both checked on arrival.

Yes. You confirm by signing the contract that you have completed appropriate skipper training and are proficient in operating the vessel. If the base manager considers you unfit to handle the boat, we may require you to sail with a professional skipper or assign one, at additional cost.

Night sailing is permitted only in safe weather conditions.

No. You may not rent, lend or use the vessel for commercial purposes, professional fishing, or regattas, and you must not exceed the maximum number of passengers. You must also keep the vessel logbook and follow customs and local regulations.

Please check the engine oil and water daily, as damage from oil or water shortage is your responsibility. Manage the vessel with due care for safety and report any incidents, and immediately report any suspected underwater damage or theft.
